Only smiling faces at the El Cajon Rotary Club!
Our beloved Police Chief, Jeff Davis, explains to Wes Sherman that arguing and trying to get out of a fine results in severe consequences.
Dave Waters with two of our beautiful Rotary members, Bobbi Pearson and Jean Daily.  We're a lucky club!
Jaqueline Campbell "Jax" ALWAYS has a smile on her face.
Stu Scott talks with Sean Kelsey about the Rotarian's At Work event held at Stu's house on Saturday, April 15, 2017.
A huge thanks to Sean Bradford for always being there to help out with the set-up of our meetings each week.
Sean Kelsey did a superb job of leading the group in our song on Tuesday.
WELCOME TO OUR GUESTS
We always love seeing great guests at our meetings.  This week, we were in for a special treat with Susan Ferrara bringing her husband, Mike (Father Mike to some of us).  WELCOME MIKE!
Joe Mackey with two of our guests this week, Chris Collins with Cajon Valley School District and our speaker, Ed Hidalgo from the University of San Diego.  Welcome gentelman
Jamie Lundy shared an update about RYLA with the group on Tuesday.  Great job this year in coordinating our RYLA students Jamie.
Cheryl announcing a great article in the Cuyamaca Water Conservation Garden magazine about our ROTARY garden.
Once again this week, we enjoyed another fantastic lunch by Rita at the El Cajon Elks Lodge.  Join us next week for another great program and lunch!
Greg Calvert entertained us (AGAIN) with his "Who Am I" presentation to finish his Blue Badge requirements.  One thing you can say about Greg, he is always entertaining.

Something about his presentation that was unique is that Greg shared with us that his Grandfather was a Charter member of the Newport Beach/Irvine Rotary Club.  He even brought in a plaque to prove it.  Grandpa did well Greg!
OUR PROGRAM on April 15th , 2017

Greg Calvert introducing our speaker on Tuesday, Mr. Ed Hidalgo from The University of San Diego.
Mr. Ed Hidalgo with The University of San Diego
We enjoyed a wonderful program this week.  Ed Hidalgo has to be one of the most passionate speakers we have enjoyed in some time.  Ed previously spent many years as the Human Resources Director for Qualcomm here in San Diego.  He decided to leave Qualcomm due to his desire to start something entirely new, "World of Work".  This is an incredible program providing middle school students a peak into professions that they would otherwise not likely ever learn about.

Ed provided us with a highly passionate overview of how this program is impacting our students at Cajon Valley School district.  One thing became very clear, Ed is going to take this program all over the United States and it will be a huge success.  Isn't it great to know that Cajon Valley School District was the first to see its potential!

President Cheryl Minshew thanking Ed for his wonderful presentation on Tuesday
