Our Program Today
Salvation Army Captain, Sean Kelsey ( we refer to him as "Our Captain") of the El Cajon Corps, provided us with a truly wonderful and thorough presentation today about the Salvation Army. He started his presentation by reviewing the history of the Army as it began in London, England 152 years ago by William and Katherine Booth and now serves in over 127 countries around the world. A unique fact to know is that the Salvation Army is extremely efficient in leadership and decision making. There are only four levels of leadership in the entire organization. A single General located in England. Next there are Territorial Leaders. Then the Divisional Leaders, and finally there are Corps Officers in each local Salvation Army location.
Sean provided a clear review of how the Army works and the many ways it serves the countless number of beneficiary's it helps each year. He also reviewed the future plans for the El Cajon Community Center the Army is building right here in El Cajon.
GREAT JOB SEAN!
